Starlicious - PTU

 

This tutorial was written by Twilight on 8/3/12. Any similarities to any other tutorials is purely coincidental.  

SUPPLIES:

Tube: I'm using a PTU tube by Ismael Rac. You need a license to use his work. Get it HERE

Scrap Kit: I am using a PTU kit called: Starlicious by Niqui. Buy it at ScrapsWithAttitude

Template: Lin_WildOnes3 by Linda. Get it HERE

Open "Lin_WildOnes3"

Delete the word art, including the pixel text

On the star circle,

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

New raster layer

Flood fill with two colors to match your tube or scrap kit

I used: #6b0dac and #dc68ce

Deselect

Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add noise:

-Random

-50%

-Monochrome checked

Add drop shadow

Vertical & Horizontal: 0

Opacity: 100

Blur: 2

Color: Black

Delete the original star circle layer

On the line circle layer,

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

New raster layer

Flood fill with another color from your tube or scrap kit (different than above)

I used: #4ae7ff

Deselect

Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add noise:

-Random

-50%

-Monochrome checked

Add drop shadow

Vertical & Horizontal: 0

Opacity: 100

Blur: 2

Color: Black

Delete the original line circle layer

On the white circles layer,

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "nq-paper 9" as a new layer

Selections - Invert - Delete

Crop whole tag

Drop Shadow (same as above)

Delete the white circles

On the black circle layer,

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "nq-paper 4" as a new layer

Selections - Invert - Delete

Crop tag

Drop Shadow

Delete the black circle

FOR ALL THREE PINK RECTANGLES:

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "nq-paper 2" as a new layer

Resize 80%

Selections - Invert - Delete

Crop tag

Drop Shadow

Delete the pink rectangle.

Repeat for the other two pink rectangles

On the white rectangles,

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "nq-paper 14" as a new layer

Selections - invert - Delete

Repeat for the other white rectangle

Crop tag

Give both a drop shadow

Delete the white rectangles

On the black rectangle,

Effects - Texture Effects - Blinds:

-Width: 2

-Opacity: 39

-Color: Black

-Horizontal: Checked

-Light from left/top: Checked

Drop Shadow

On the long pink rectangle

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "nq-paper 7" as a new layer

Selections - Invert - Delete

Deselect

Crop tag

Drop shadow

On the Star layer

Magic Wand - Click inside the star

Selections - Modify - Expand - 4

Copy/Paste "nq-paper 8" as a new layer

Selections - Invert - Delete

Don’t deselect yet

Copy/Paste your tube as a new layer over the paper

Hit delete

Deselect.

Set the blend mode on the tube layer to Hard Light

Copy/Paste "nq-element 2" as a new layer

Resize 60%

Image - Free Rotate 20 degrees to the left

Put it on the right side of tag

Copy/Paste "nq-element 25" as a new layer

Resize 60%

Image - Free Rotate - 20 degrees to the right

Place it to the right of nq-element 2

Copy/Paste "nq-element 30" as a new layer

Resize 70%

Drag it below the star layer over the long rectangle (see my tag)

Cut of the parts of the string that are off the rectangle

Copy/Paste "nq-element 4" as a new layer

Resize 60%

Place in front of element 25 and 2

Copy/Paste "nq-element 48" as a new layer

Resize 60% twice

Place on the top right side of tag

Copy/Paste "nq-element 57" as a new layer

Resize 50%

Place to the right of the cupcake

Copy/Paste "nq-element 34" as a new layer

Resize 70% twice

Image - Mirror

Place in front of the cupcake

Copy/Paste "nq-element 46' as a new layer

Resize 40%

Move to the top of the left circle

Drop Shadow

Copy/Paste "nq-element 28" as a new layer

Resize 40%

Put at the top of the big circle

Drop Shadow

Copy/Paste  your tube as a new layer

Resize

I put mine on the left and mirrored it

Copy/Paste "nq-element 52" as a new layer

Image - Free Rotate - 90 degrees to the right

Crop and Resize

Add your name and Copyright info.

And you're done!
