Skull Candy - PTU

This tutorial was written by Twilight on 8/14/12. Any similarities to any other tutorials is purely coincidental.  

NOTE: If you get confused at any time, you can use my tag for reference!

SUPPLIES:

Tube: I'm using the awesome art of Ill Minded Child. You can buy it at Artistic Reality

ScrapKit: I'm using a PTU kit called "Skull Candy" by Magik. You can also buy this at Artistic Reality

Mask of Choice (I'm not sure where I got mine, sorry)

-paper 23

-frame 3

-paper 8

-wire 2

-speaker

-cupcake 3

-lilacs

-kitten 2

-camera

-roses 2

-microphone

-guitar

Open a new image 700 x 700

Copy/Paste "paper 23"

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk

Find your mask of choice

Hit Load

Merge Group

Copy/Paste "frame 3" as a new layer

Magic Wand tool - Select inside the frame

Selections - Modify - Expand - 4

Copy/Paste "paper 8" as a new layer under the frame

Selections - Invert - Delete

Copy/Paste your tube as a new layer

Arrange it over the frame 

Grab your selections tool

Select the part of the tube you want to appear inside of the frame

(I selected the bottom part)

Promote selection to layer

On the tube layer hit delete

Select none

On the promoted selection layer, 

Select the bottom part of the tube that is visible under the frame

Hit delete

Select None

Copy/Paste "wire 2" as a new layer

Duplicate

Pull one up a little and the other down a bit 

Drag them under the frame layers

Copy/Paste "speaker" as a new layer

Move to the left of the frame

Copy/Paste "cupcake 3" as a new layer

Resize 70%

Place in front of the speaker

Copy/Paste "lilacs" as a new layer

Image - Free Rotate - Rotate 25 degrees to the left

Place it on the bottom right of the frame

Copy/Paste "kitten 2" as a new layer

Resize 80%

Place in the bottom center of the frame

Copy/Paste "camera" as a new layer

Place on the right side in front of the lilacs

Copy/Paste "roses 2" as a new layer

Image - Mirror

Drag behind the lilacs

Copy/Paste "microphone" as a new layer

Place on the left

Copy/Paste "guitar" as a new layer

Resize 70%

Drag behind the microphone

Crop/Resize

Add your name and copyright info and  you're done!
