Urban Addiction - PTU

Urban Addiction
This tutorial was written by Twilight on 7/22/12. Any similarities to any other tutorials is purely coincidental.  

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Tube of Choice: I am using the art of Keith Garvey.. Get his tubes at PTE (until August 31, as that's when they're closing, sadly)
Scrap Kit: Urban Addiction by Abstract. You can get the kit at OScrap Candy Shack
Font of Choice: I'm using Urban Jungle. I don't remember where I got it. You can search google to find it.
FILTERS: Muras Meister Copies, VM Toolbox Grid,  Xero Radiance


Open a new image 600 by 250
Open your tube and copy/paste as new layer
Duplicate.
Hide the duplicate tube layer for now.

On your original tube layer,
Go to Effects - Muras Meister - Copies with these settings:



Now go to Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur with the default settings
Adjust - Sharpen
Adjust - Sharpen again

Now go to VM Toolbox - Grid with these settings
 

With your magic wand tool, click inside the gridlines
Floodfill with a gradient of choice
Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise with these settings

Unhide tube layer
Duplicate again twice
Hide the top layer.
On the bottom tube layer
    image - mirror and move it to the left side of the tag
 on the second tube layer,
    move it to the right side of tag
Merge these two layers and change the blend mode to multiply

Open e43 and copy/paste as new layer under your main tube layer
Duplicate it twice
Rename these City 1, City 2, and City 3 making the bottom City 1 and the topmost City 3

On City 1, Go to Alien Skin Xenofex 2  - Constellation
Under Settings in the menu, Click on Star field
Make sure Keep Original Image is Checked
Click OK

On City 2, Same settings except hit random seed once

Repeat on City 3, hitting Random seed again

Hide City 2 and City 3 for now

On Your main tube layer, go to Effects - Xero - Radiance with these settings:



Open/Copy/Paste  e4 as new layer and place behind your tube
Resize 80%


Open/Copy/Paste e35 (money) as a new layer
Resize 60% and move to the bottom left corner

Open/Copy/Paste e56 as new layer
Resize by 60% three times
Place on top of money in the bottom left corner

Open/Copy/Paste e39 as a new layer
Image - Resize - 60%
Image - Mirror
Image - Flip
 move to the bottom right

Open/Copy/Paste e13 as a new layer
Image resize 60%
Move to the bottom right on top of the arrow

Open a new raster layer and flood fill with Gradient of choice
     Linear
     Angle - 45
     Repeats - 1

Selections - Select All
Selections - Modify - Contract 4
Hit Delete
Add noise (same as above) and a drop shadow of choice

Crop your tag.
Add Your name and copyright info

TO ANIMATE
What I did so there'd be less layers is.. I hid all the city layers and everything below it and merged visible. Then I hid the merged layer and did the same for everything below the city layers. Just made it easier for me lol


With City 2 and City 3 Hidden
Edit - Copy Merged

Paste as a new animation in animation shop

Back in PSP, Hide City 1 and Unhide City 2
Edit - Copy Merged
In animation shop - Paste after current  frame

Repeat with City 3

Click on your first frame in animation
Ctrl - A
Animation - Frame Properties - I set my display time to 20
