Marry The Night - PTU

 

This tutorial was written by Twilight on 8/2/12. Any similarities to any other tutorials is purely coincidental.

ScrapKit: The one I am using is a PTU kit called "Marry The Night" by KillerKitty's Killer Kreations

Open CBN_Template133

Hit Shift + D

Close the original

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Paper16" as a new layer over Raster 4

Click on Raster 4 -

Selections - Select All - Selections - Float - Selections - Defloat

On the Paper - Selections - Invert - Hit Delete

Select None

Delete Raster 4

Crop (to get rid of the paper off canvas) I didn't cut any of the canvas away.

Drop Shadow:

Vertical & Horizontal: 0

Opacity: 71

Blur: 3

Color: Black

Delete Raster 9 and Raster 6

Merge Raster 5 and Copy of Raster 5 together

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Paper04" as a new layer

Selections - Invert - Hit Delete

Delete the merged Raster 5 layer

Crop again

Drop Shadow (same as above)

Merge Raster 3 and Copy of Raster 3

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Paper09" as a new layer

Selections - Invert - Hit Delete

Deselect

Delete Raster 3

Crop

Add Drop Shadow

Merge Raster 1 and Copy of Raster 1

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Paper06" as a new layer

Selections - Invert - Hit Delete

Deselect

Delete Raster 1

Crop

Add Drop Shadow

Resize your image to 700 x 700

On Raster 2

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Paper01" as a new layer

Resize 70%

Selections - Invert - Hit Delete

Don’t deselect

Copy/Paste your tube as a new layer

Duplicate

I mirrored the tube and copied/pasted it again

Move the mirrored tube and the lower tube to the left and right on the circle

Hit delete

Deselect

The top tube layer should be in the center

Effects - Xero - Radiance with these settings

Strangeness: 91

Charm: 50

Truth: 128

Beauty: 255

Change the blend mode on the two duplicates to Hard Light

Delete any of the tube that is below the arrow

On Raster 8

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

New Raster Layer

Flood Fill with a black and white gradient

Copy your tube again

Position it the way you like

Selections - Invert - Hit Delete

Set the blend mode to Luminance(L)

Deselect

Delete Raster 8

Give your gradient a drop shadow

On Raster 2

Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise :

-Random

-100%

-Monochrome Checked

Drop Shadow

On the pink arrow layer

Selections - Select All

Selections - Float

Selections - Defloat

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Paper15" as a new layer

Resize 70%

Selections - Invert - Hit Delete

Deselect

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Flame02" as a new layer

Resize 90%

Drag behind your tube

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Love" as a new layer

Resize 60%

Put it over the arrow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Ribbon" as a new layer

Resize 70%

Move behind the arrow and to the right

Give it a small drop shadow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Cat03" as a new layer

Resize 50%

Place at the bottom left corner

Add drop shadow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Hearts" as a new layer

Resize 80% twice

Drag under the arrow

Move to the left

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-RibbonRose" as a new layer

Resize 70% twice

Drag under the arrow and place in the bottom right corner

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Ring" as a new layer

Resize 40%

Adjust - Sharpen

Image - Mirror

Place on the bottom right corner over the rose

Drop Shadow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Tiara" as a new layer

Resize 70%

Adjust - Sharpen

Place at the bottom center of tag

Drop shadow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Cupcake" as a new layer

Resize 60% Twice and place between the cat's legs

Drop shadow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-WingedHeart01" as a new layer

Resize 60%

Move to the top right corner

Image - Mirror (or image - flip horizontal if you have x4)

Drop Shadow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-WineBottle" as a new layer

Resize 60%

Drag behind your tube layer (see my tag )

Drop shadow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-JeweledKey01" as a new layer

Resize 60%

Drag behind the cat layer

Place it so that it looks like it's hanging from the circle (see my tag)

Drop Shadow

Copy/Paste "K4-MarryTheNight-Sparkles" as a new layer

I left it where it was!

Crop and resize.

Add your name and proper copyright info

And that's it!
