FTU - Rita Kirby - Welcome Aboard

This tutorial was written by Miranda on 6/26/14. Any similarities to any other tutorials is purely coincidental.  

NOTE: If you get confused at any time, you can use my tag for reference!

SUPPLIES:

I used an awesome tube by Rita Kirby. You can find this and more great tubes at MTA

I used a FTU kit called 'Nautical Vibes' by Scraps Dimension. Find it HERE

Mask of Choice. I used Mask 5 by Melissa. Find it on the Creative Misfits blog HERE

My word art, HERE

Xero Radiance, My settings HERE

Open a new image 700 x 700 (Can crop/resize later)

Open SD NV PAPER 5

Copy/Paste as new layer

Layers - Load-Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk

Hit Load

Right click on mask layer - Merge Group

Open SD NV PORTHOLE

Copy/Paste as new layer

Resize 70%

I dragged it up just a little

Magic Wand Tool - Select inside the Porthole.

Selections - Modify - Expand - 3

Open SD NV PAPER 3

Copy/Paste as new layer UNDER the porthole.

Selections - Invert - Hit Delete

Do Not Deselect yet

Open/Copy/Paste SD NV SAIL BOAT 2 as a new layer

Resize 70%

Place to your liking inside the porthole

Hit Delete

Open/Copy/Paste your tube (closeup works best)

Place where you like inside the porthole

Hit Delete

Deselect

Change the blend mode on the tube/closeup to Screen

Add a drop shadow to the Porthole:

V: 1

H: -1

Opacity: 100

Blur: 2

Color: Black

Do it again, but switch the Vertical and Horizontal around

Open/Copy/Paste SD NV SEA PLANT 4 as a new layer

Resize 70%

Place on the left side of Porthole

Drop Shadow

V&H: 0

Opacity: 100

Blur: 2

Color: Black

Open/Copy/Paste SD NV SEA PLANT 2 as a new layer

Resize 60%

Place over Sea Plant 4

Drop Shadow (Same as above)

Open/Copy/Paste SEAGULLS ON PYLON as a new layer

Resize 60%

Place on the right side of Porthole

Drop Shadow

Open/Copy/Paste SD NV SEASHELLS 5 as a new layer

Resize 70%

Place on the bottom right of pylon

Drop Shadow

Open/Copy/Paste SD NV SEASHELLS 1 as a new layer

Resize 60%

Place over the bottom of the plants

Drop Shadow

Open/Copy/Paste SD NV LIGHTHOUSE as a new layer

Resize 80%

Drag below the Seagulls layer

Place so the bottom is behind the shells and pylon

Drop Shadow

Open/Copy/Paste my wordart if you want. Or you can make your own.

Place over the top right side of tag (see mine)

Copy/Paste your tube as a new layer

Resize if needed

Place on the left side of tag

Effects- Plugins - Xero - Radiance

Load my settings or use your own

Add drop Shadow to tube

Crop/Resize tag

Add your copyright info and name.
