Farmer's Daughter - PTU

This tutorial was written by Twilight on 7/23/12. Any similarities to any other tutorials is purely coincidental.  

Supplies:

Tube of Choice: I'm using one by Lynn Rider. You can get it at Artistic Reality HERE

Scrap Kit called "Farmer's Daughter" by Kate of IrishBitchDesigns Get it HERE

Font of Choice: Mine is called "Playbill" HERE

Mask of Choice: Mine is by Vix (dont remember which one, sorry) HERE

Open a new image 700 x 700

Open/Copy/ Paste  the barn as new layer
Resize about 80% and move further up on the canvas

Open/Copy/Paste the window as a new layer
Resize about 40% and move over the top doors of the barn
Magic Wand tool - Select inside the window
Selections - Modify - Expand - 3

Open up your tube of choice or a closeup and copy/paste as new layer
Drag it under the frame a position inside the window
Selections - Invert - Delete
Do not deselect yet.

Open paper10 and copy/paste as new layer
I resized it 70%
Drag it under the tube/closeup layer
Hit Delete

Selections - Select None
I cropped my tag at this point to get rid of any excess paper

Change the blend mode of the tube to Burn
And give the window a small drop shadow

Open the clouds
Copy/Paste as new layer
I resized them by 70% TWICE
Duplicate and move them to both sides of the barn on top
Merge them together and drag them below the barn

Open the mason lights
Copy/Paste as new layer
Resize by 70% TWICE
Put them at the bottom of the window

Open the barrell
Copy/Paste as new layer
Resize 50%
Resize again, except this time at 70%
Place on left side of barn
Add a small drop shadow

Open the Pump
Copy/Paste as new layer
Resize 60%
Resize 70%
Move it to the right

Open the horse
Copy/Paste as new layer
Resize by 70% TWICE
Put it in front of the barn on the left side, but make sure it doesn't cover the window
Add a small drop shadow

I copied/pasted my tube again and resized it by 70%
I then moved It to the right of my tag in front of the pump

Open/Copy/Paste the chicken as a new layer
Resize 30%
Put it on the right side of your tag in front of tube



Open/Copy/Paste the tree as a new layer
Resize by 70% TWICE
I moved it behind the barn and made it so only  part of it showed behind the barn


On the bottom layer, below the clouds,
Layers - New Raster Layer
I used the corel picture tube Grass 01 - Scale 41 - Step 500
I clicked randomly until it was good enough for me!
Adjust - Hue/Saturation - Colorize:
       Hue - 31
       Saturation - 111

Copy/Paste Paper 3 as new layer
Drag it under the grass layer
Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from disk
Pick a mask
Merge group

Open the lillies
Copy/Paste as new layer
Resize these by 70% TWICE
Place so that it's sticking out behind the grass

On your top layer
Open/Copy/Paste grass as a new layer
Resize it by 80%
Move it so that there is none of the other grass showing under it

Crop and Resize
Add your name and copyright info and we're done!
